This bank was established as a multi purpose Co-operative Society in 02.03.1951. In 19.10.1976 it was registered and was started functioning as Puduppariyaram Service Co-operative Bank. Sri.Thankappan alias Narayanan was the founder President of this bank. Thereafter the following veterans had been the presidents of the bank Sri.Gopala Vydyar, Sri.Surendranathan, Sri.Chellappan Nair, Sri.Prabhakaran, Sri.K.V.Sreedharan, Sri.K.Velukkutty, Sri.M.K.Chandran, Sri.V.Chamikutty, Sri.V.C.Arjunnan and Sri.Adv.Ramachandran. The present incumbent of the honoured chair is Sri. Sunil Kumar.

Puduppariyaram Service Co-operative Bank is one of the Class 1 Special Grade Banks in Palakkad District and its area of working includes Puduppariyaram Panchayath, Muttikulangara and Hemambika Nagar.The bank was computerised in 2004. Now the bank has successfully implemented Core Banking Solution to serve our customers better and takes pain to attend their conveniences. Now there are 5189 A class members in this Bank.

We have Twenty five permanent staff. Loan with attractive interest including Kissan credit cards are issued to peasants and middle class people. In the last five years the deposits and loans showed a wonderful growth rate.

The bank has its head office near Puduppariyaram Panchayath with locker facilities and its two branches arein Muttikulangara and Hemambika. Performance of the bank is being rated as excellent.
